Below is a list of recipes collected from our members that all use honey.
“Beginner Bee Class” Bean Dish
- 1 can each – five different types of beans: anything you like, butter beans, red kidney and white kidney beans, black beans, and a can of pork & beans
- 1/2 cup each – honey, ketchup, and molasses
- 1lb browned ground beef, salt and pepper to taste
- 1lb bacon cut up in 1″ pieces and cooked
- Put all ingredients in a pan and mix
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
Honey Cornbread
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ⅓ cups white sugar
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 ½ cups whole milk
- 4 eggs, beaten
- ⅔ cup vegetable oil
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Combine and pour into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick comes out clean.
“Advanced Bee Class” Kraut and Pork with Honey
- 2 – lb bag of sour kraut drained and rinsed
- 2 – lbs. your favorite pork (pork steak, kielbasa, even sausage)
- 1 – large onion sliced
- 1/2 – cup of honey
- Brown off pork and then add onion until cooked, add kraut on top and cook 15 minutes more
- Turn off the heat and add honey and fold together. Season with red or black pepper to taste.
Honey Ritz
- 30 RITZ Crackers
- 5 oz, Brie cheese, cut into 30 pieces
- 2 Tbsp. honeycomb (about 1 oz) cut into 30 pieces
- 1 1/2 tsp. finely chopped pistachios
